Our MD Andy packed his bags and set ways to Geotechnica in Warwickshire between the 10th-11th of July. It is the UK’s largest geotechnical conferences and exhibition which herds together geotechnical suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and clients with the aim of promoting new products and innovation within the industry.
Once we heard the event was recommencing again this year we didn’t hesitate to grab our ticket as we visited the event previously last year. We attended this event with our strategic patterner Geoterra, so it was good having a companion who could extend their knowledge of the event. The event consisted of many industry-specific exhibitions:
- UAV solutions
- Geotechnical solution
- Drilling hardware
- Software applications
- The geotechnical conference led by industry experts
What was loved about Geotechnica that it is the only one in the UK that offers its specialism and rarity of what the event has to offer. This event only happens once annually But from 2021 the event will follow a biennial format as a way of adding further value and speculation of the event.
The event was a great way to meet new industry insiders and build a bridge between many new cohorts throughout the event, this was followed by a networking dinner on a Wednesday evening. The networking dinner was a great opportunity to connect witch exhibitors, which was a great way to get that personal engagement to elaborate and expand on the knowledge gained from the day event. The calm environment helped to unwind and catch up with old friends at M&P survey equipment (who provide our survey equipment and ancillary items) as they were exhibiting over the two days.
Hand on heart can say next year can’t come quick enough to experience the advancement changes in a year and to be showcased at Geotechnica.
