Clayton Square Shopping Centre, Liverpool, first opened in 1989, was renovated in 2013 to include a redesign of how the shopping spaces and the interior of the units were configured. We were asked to complete floor plan surveys and building sections covering extensive detail including all sprinkler heads and M&E equipment. A project of this nature requires a solid, robust survey control framework as well as an understanding of busy retail environments and the challenges they bring – something we have extensive experience of.
A full set of 2D plans and sections were produced covering all levels from basement to second floor including all back of house areas and plant rooms. This information was then passed to the project architects and the shopping centre owners so that they could build upon the survey and modify the layout for new retail spaces.
